Annie Foster

As a ceramicist and teacher, Annie C. Foster is an artist concerned with the contrast between nature and the man made environment. She is fascinated by the way the flat planes of the urban/ suburban settings contrast with farmland and the natural environment. Her ceramic sculptures playfully exploit real and imagined landscape in a three dimensional form.

Annie C. Foster has a B.F.A. in Printmaking from the University of Arizona and an M.F.A in Ceramics from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has completed additional study with Lisa Orr in Austin, Texas, the Instituto de Bellas Artes in Faenza, Italy, and at Alfred University in Alfred, New York. She has been in numerous local and national competitions. She teaches art at the secondary and college levels in the Dallas, Texas area where she resides.
