Lisa Covert is a fiber artist, dyer and bookbinder in Dallas, Texas.
Her work ranges from fiber paintings to handmade books to hand-dyed scarves to installations. She is currently making paintings, accessories and books using shibori techniques combined with ice and indigo dyeing.
Her work is in private collections and has been included in local and regional juried shows.
She served on the board of the Craft Guild of Dallas and as president from 2013 through 2014. She currently serves on the board as president of the Dallas Area Fiber Artists.
She was an artist-in-residence at the 18st Airspace at the Gladys Harrington Library in Plano in August 2016, and April and May 2017.
She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Indiana State University. She continues to take classes and workshops to hone her skills.
