Tori Webb Pendergrass (Dallas, Texas) is an artist who works in a variety of media. With a subtle minimalistic approach, Tori creates work in which a fascination with the clarity of content and an uncompromising attitude towards conceptual and minimal art can be found. The work is personal and systematic, a cool and neutral imagery is used, unfiltered in their references to dream worlds.
Her artworks do not always reference recognizable forms. The results are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted. By applying abstraction, she creates intense personal moments masterfully created by means of rules and omissions, acceptance, and refusal, luring the viewer into her art.
Tori also owns and operates Kid Art and Pigment School of the Arts, art schools for children and adults. She is blessed to have the wonderful support of her husband Clay and daughter Isabella Sky in all endeavors.
Tori was born in Dallas, Texas, and attended The Hockaday School. She received a BFA from Kansas City Art Institute with a focus in Painting and Drawing and continues to create and show work in both private and public venues.
