ALYCE GLAZER LEVY
Ask me how I began, and my answer will change each time: poetry, colors, stress, emotions, or the hues of blooming flowers. What remains constant is a lifelong passion for expression, which has found its latest form in art. Each night, I fall asleep after reading the news, only to be awakened by vibrant color combinations swirling in my mind.

As a graphic designer, I honed my ability to distill ideas and challenges into simple, impactful logos. Then one rainy day, a beautifully weathered wood stump caught my eye near the Tollway. Wearing tennis clothes, and with the help of a friend, I hauled it home. That stump became my first canvas for acrylics and resin, sparking a passionate relationship with wood—especially wood slices. My art brings unexpected colors into conversation, inviting viewers to see something new and carry it with them long after they walk away.

My porcelain collection features butterflies that seem to climb walls, joyfully escaping toward hallways and windows. Petite versions of these delicate creatures settle on driftwood and grape wood sculptures, creating unexpected accents for tables, walls, and rooms, blending the natural with the ethereal
